Ecocide - Band Bio
It all began in 1990 when I got my beloved C64 II. In 1991 I started making music using Chris Huelsbeck's famous Soundmonitor without any idea about the theoratical aspects of composing. It took me around 3 months to get something that could be called "not disharmonic". Some years later in 1995 I entered the C64-scene, called myself Eco and joined the forces of Excess. A lot of my old SIDs can be found in the HVSC (http://hvsc.c64.org/).

My first tries in composing on the PC were back in 1999 using Fast Tracker II and later Impulse Tracker 2.14. After discovering Renoise in 2001 this became my favourite tool for making music. Nowadays it includes a lot of mostly free VST als well as a sample library of 40 GB. Most of my musics have a dark, melancholic touch, led by piano sounds. The structures are still heavily influenced by my time in the C64-scene. Because I'm still some kind of a fan of the SID-music I'm doing covers of those old tunes every once in a while that can be found at Remix.Kwed.org.

I'm definitely not a professional musician. It is and always will be a hobby and a way to express myself.
